Achievements by nominees will only be considered if they have occurred during the qualifying period 12 April 2016 to 17 April 2017.
Nominations close on Monday 24 April 2017 at 12pm.
CONDITIONS OF NOMINATIONS
Nominees under consideration for the awards must be a ‘Wellingtonian’ as per the criteria (a), (b), or (c) below:
(a) Through residency in the greater Wellington region during the qualifying period
(b) Through representing the Wellington region or a Wellington based club in their chosen discipline during the qualifying period
(c) Through being commonly acknowledged as a Wellingtonian (including the Wairarapa, Kapiti, Porirua and Hutt Valley) although not regularly resident in the region due to the demands of their sporting career
Nominations will be accepted from all national and regional sport organisations, clubs, media and the general public.
Information presented in the nomination form must be clear, concise and accurate as it is used by our judging panel to make an informed and final decision on finalists and winners. Contact details for the nominator and one nomination support person must be included for verification purposes.
Please ensure you include all relevant information about achievements under the correct headings, listing their highest achievements first in each section. Please provide information on achievements as if the selection panel knows nothing about the sport.
Selection of category finalists and winners will be made by an independent panel of judges. The judging panel’s decision is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
